iDevices Works With The World's Most Advanced Over-the-Air Download Technology
Avon, CT – May 20, 2013 – Always working to further enhance emerging technology in the mobile space, iDevices, LLC, a leader in app-enablement, has mastered the use of over-the-air (OTA) update capabilities. The entrepreneurial company has a full team of electrical engineers and software developers working on exciting consulting projects for clients, such as Zebra Technologies, Wahooo and Nielsen Kellerman. With help from wireless connectivity leader Broadcom, the team is also actively enhancing the current iDevices product line, consisting of the iGrill and iShower, as well as developing new products to launch in Q4 2013.
iDevices has been working with OTA firmware updates of Bluetooth Smart accessories by way of iPod®, iPhone® and iPad® devices. Being able to conduct OTA updates gives developers the opportunity to leverage the latest advancements within the industry, keeping their products competitive. It also increases the shelf life of products and allows developers to continuously add new features, well after a product’s release date. iDevices Chief Software Architect says, “The ability to upgrade devices in the field means we are never more than an app update away from more functionality or a better user experience.”
“Broadcom’s leadership in embedded wireless technology, including the huge powersaving benefits of Bluetooth Smart, will provide a significant boost to iDevices’ products,” said Brian Bedrosian, Broadcom’s Senior Director, Embedded Wireless, Wireless Connectivity Combo Group. “With the surge in demand for Internet-enabled everything, Broadcom will continue to be the backbone that delivers more connectivity to more devices.”
iDevices will, not only be applying this technology in several products for its consulting clients, but will also be introducing them into the newest additions to the iDevices product line. “We are excited to use this latest technology in our consumer electronics, so that we are able to provide our customers with seamless software updates” says Chris Allen, CEO iDevices.
