Avon, Conn. – October 30, 2015 – iDevices®, the Connecticut based preeminent brand in the Internet of Things (IoT) industry, was one of eight winners of the GREAT Tech 2015 Awards. The Connecticut- based company was given the award for the Lifestyle category.

On September 30, 2015, 24 tech companies were announced as finalists. These finalists from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts are known to be innovative companies in the U.S. tech scene, that are aiming to build an international presence.

Winners were chosen based on their potential for overseas growth and the innovation of their product or service. The award winners were selected by a prestigious panel of judges including Pete Cashmore, CEO & Founder of Mashable; as well as other various leaders in the tech industry.

“iDevices has grown rapidly over the past couple of years. It's a testament to the in-house team that we have built and the innovative products that we develop,” said Chris Allen, iDevices CEO. “We are proud to win this prestigious award and are excited to explore our expansion overseas into the UK.”

As the CEO of the winning company, Allen will fly to the UK at the end of November,  to meet with a select set of government officials, recruitment services, real estate services and legal service teams.

This news comes just after the September launch of three new home automation products featuring Apple® HomeKit® technology. The iDevices connected home products family includes the iDevices Switch, iDevices Outdoor Switch and iDevices Thermostat. Each product allows users to control their home using the free iDevices Connected app on their iPhone® or using Siri® voice commands. These products provide users the ultimate convenience, comfort and security. iDevices plans to announce four additional HomeKit-enabled products to this family at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016.
