Setting up miles of string lights, villages of inflatable decorations, and glowing rooftop ornaments can be a pain, but controlling them has never been easier.

Plug everything into Outdoor Switch this season to set custom schedules, add voice control, and control your decorations from anywhere. Watching your entire outdoor display come alive with the touch of a button, or as soon as the sun goes down, makes climbing up and down that 20-foot ladder for the sake of holiday spirit worthwhile.

Set schedules for a worry-free holiday season

Outdoor Switch allows you to schedule your decorations instead of going outside every evening to turn them on. Create up to 24 individual schedules per product in the iDevices Connected app. If you set your pumpkin or icicle string lights to turn on at 6 p.m. and off at 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, that’s one schedule. Set those same lights to turn on at 6 p.m. and off at 11 p.m. on the weekend, that’s another schedule – and you still have 22 remaining; more than enough schedules to go around!

Schedules made in the iDevices Connected app are embedded, meaning they’ll run even if you’re Wi-Fi is down. You’ll never have to worry about inflatable Frosty not blowing up because your Wi-Fi just isn’t cooperating.

Outdoor Switch is Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home compatible, so you can set schedules in those respective apps if you prefer (Note: These schedules won’t run if Wi-Fi is down like iDevices Connected app schedules). Create schedules in the Home app (HomeKit) on iOS devices, and via Routines in the Amazon Alexa and Google Home apps.

With IFTTT, the sun will dictate your schedule. Having your holiday lights turn on while it's still sunny out is kind of pointless, and it's a pain to constantly switch your schedules as the days get shorter. Using our custom IFTTT Applets, your decorations will power on as soon as the sun sets, no matter the time. You also have the ability to automatically turn your accessories on/off when you arrive or leave home.

Control from the comfort of home by switch or phone

Those inflatable decorations aren’t immune to weather – wind, snow, and rain can do damage. While schedules have you covered day-to-day, it’s convenient to be able shut everything down quickly, easily, and from anywhere you please. Let’s be honest...it’s also amazing to see the look on your neighbor’s face when you pull out your phone, press a button, and your display magically comes alive before their eyes.

Outdoor Switch gives you the power to do just that. Anything plugged into this high-tech product can be controlled remotely, from anywhere in the world, with the push of a button in the iDevices Connected app. (Remote access also available in Home app, Amazon Alexa app, and Google Home app)

Need another option?

Switch on your decorating game with Instant Switch, a wireless wall switch that installs on nearly any surface (and can be removed without damaging said surface). There’s no wiring necessary. Just pair Instant Switch to the product of your choice. Maybe it’s the Outdoor Switch controlling the string lights in the front yard. After quickly pairing these products in the iDevices Connected app, turn your string lights on and off with the flip of a switch too.

Use your voice for a spooky fright or cheerful delight

Outdoor Switch works with Siri, Alexa, and the Google Assistant; so together with the smart speaker of your choice (or Instinct, the smart light switch with Alexa built-in), turn your outdoor accessories on and off with a simple voice command.

Or, take your holiday spirit and decorating game up a notch by greeting your trick-or-treaters, carolers, and partygoers with a surprise, all with the power of your voice.

Create scenes in the iDevices Connected app and control multiple accessories with a single voice command. Around Halloween, take your pumpkin string lights and a fog machine and connect them to an Outdoor Switch. Then, create a scene called “make it scary” in the app so when trick-or-treaters come to the door, you say “Siri, make it scary” and both turn on at the same time for a fun surprise.

The same can be said for routines in the Amazon Alexa and Google Home apps. Set a routine so when carolers come to the door, your holiday lights turn on and the best holiday hits start playing from your smart speaker (or Instinct). Everyone will sing along when you give the signal — “Alexa, let’s go caroling.”
