iDevices Continues to Grow in Leadership and Experience


Avon, CT, August 26, 2014 - iDevices®,, a preeminent brand and strategic development partner to numerous Fortune 500 companies looking to enter the IoT space, recently welcomed Jim Millis and Jonathan Day to their growing team. Jim Millis takes the position of Quality Assurance Engineer, while Jonathan Day steps into the position of Principal Embedded Design Engineer.

Jim Millis was brought on as the Quality Assurance Engineer for iDevices. Previously, Jim worked at DNE Technologies and Paragon Networks. His responsibilities at iDevices are to test the reliability and robustness of the brands’ products, as well as partner products. He will also run regression tests, including security protocols, over-the-air upgrades and connection between devices. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hartford.

“I joined iDevices to engage with a strong team that is quickly becoming a leader in the IoT space and building state-of-the-art products to continue the growth of their brand,” said Millis. “I bring over 20 years experience of delivering quality products as a QA Engineer. Over the course of my career I have tested embedded systems, controllers, data communication systems, security protocols, IP protocols and have a strong desire to learn more.”

Jonathan Day joins iDevices as its Principal Embedded Design Engineer. He brings 18 years ofexperience to iDevices. Prior to iDevices, he worked at LightStat and Simplex Time Record. Jonathan’s responsibilities include analog circuit design, digital circuit design, project management and firmware design. He will also develop low-level firmware and device drivers that will be utilized by the firmware team.  Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The iDevices team is quickly growing with over 50 employees in their two offices, located in Avon, CT and Cupertino, CA. The company is currently looking to hire additional employees for its App Development, UX Design and Electrical and Software Engineering teams.
