Have you ever had to leave the coziness of your bed to make sure your front door is locked? This HomeKit™ automation utilizing the customizable LEDs on most iDevices products will save you a trip. 

Using the Home app, a HomeKit lock, and an iDevices product such as the Switch, Dimmer Switch or Wall Switch, you can create a door lock status light in your bedroom. 

"This is a fairly basic example of a status light, and if you wanted to get even more complicated, you could use a series of conditional statements to make it immensely more inclusive," Andrew O'Hara of iDownloadBlog wrote in his step-by-step instructions.
