Avon, Conn. – Oct. 4, 2019iDevices, the smart home division of Hubbell Incorporated, announces their partnership with leading U.S. homebuilder, Shea Homes®, to provide smart lighting control in all SheaConnect™ homes built nationwide.

SheaConnect™ is a suite of smart home features now included in most new homes built by Shea Homes across the country, designed to improve and ease the daily lives of homeowners. The iDevices Wall Switch will be installed in all SheaConnect homes, giving homeowners the power to schedule and control lighting from anywhere.

“We’re proud to partner with Shea Homes, a highly respected national homebuilder, to help make their SheaConnect homes smart from the start,” said Brian Hoddy, Director of Sales for iDevices. “For builders like Shea Homes, our integrated smart home products are simple to install and provide homeowners with the freedom to select the smart home platform of their choice once they move in.”

iDevices’ product line is compatible with Siri®, Amazon Alexa, and the Google Assistant — meaning homeowners can control Wall Switch with simple voice commands. The iDevices Connected app, available on iOS and Android devices, allows homeowners to create custom scenes and schedules and provides lighting control anytime, anywhere. With regular over-the-air updates, iDevices’ products update in place with new features and capabilities. Wall Switch features a standard rocker-style design, so homeowners still have the ability to control their lighting manually. iDevices products are both easy for homebuilders to install, and simple for homeowners to control.

iDevices is wholly-owned by Hubbell Incorporated, meaning the company is a reliable partner with “staying power,” said Tony Callahan, Shea Homes’ Vice President of Purchasing. “With so many new entrants in the space, we wanted to align with someone that would be around long term.”

All SheaConnect homes include a standard set of smart home features, with additional options available in select communities.
